Drilling Holes in Rip Fence
|
Q: Table saw fences don't come with holes already there, the way miter guides do. Is it OK to drill holes in a rip fence to attach an auxiliary or sacrificial fence?
A: Carol Reed: Certainly; just be certain of what's inside your fence first. Some fences have a locking mechanism inside.
A: Cal Brodie: And be careful to keep all screws out of the potential saw cut area.
