Benchtop Tool Set-up Pads

If you're like me, you clamp or bolt your benchtop tools near the edge of the bench. Clamping and unclamping them takes time, and bolting them down wastes valuable working space. Here's a quicker setup idea that keeps your tools moveable.
I bolt each benchtop tool to a larger piece of MDF or plywood to create a base. When I need to use the tool, I set it on a non-slip kitchen pad instead of clamping.
The tool's weight and oversized base is enough to plant it securely on the bench without clamps. Then, I just slide it off the pad and out of the way when I'm through.
